Today is a day that I will reflect on how far this nation has come with race relations. We have indeed come a long way to the point where one may forget the trials and tribulations we have overcome. Today is another day that indicates the fact that we have not came far enough. Today a white police officer was found not guilty killing an unarmed young man by shooting him in the back. The city where this happened is in an uproar. People are destroying their city. Even though I believe it's a race issue I think African Americans need to take more pride and account for our own lives before we can expect someone else to do so.
